Media Players for Streaming on My Property
Early on I had acquired some free media players to stream YouTube and other easily accessible videos from the web to my properties in Second Life. I really wasn’t all that impressed with them and usually found my streams were more reliable if I watched them outside the environment through my favorite web brower.
However, today while searching for something else on XstreetSL, I came across some new media players and ended up purchasing solutions from two vendors. I bought a 5-pack of the Damani MediaPRO Viewer to use on my island and in my shop. I bought the AMP Media Viewer for my Linden Home, primarily because it doesn’t require any landowner permissions to run. While the Damani Viewer works with any of the browsers available for Second Life, the AMP Viewer is only visible to those SL Viewer 2.1 and above.
