Adventures in the Metaverse
This morning my husband asked me how we could celebrate Mother’s Day together when I was 1300 miles from home.  The last thing he was expecting me to suggest was that he join me in the virtual world of Second Life to watch avatars perform in a play, and the last thing I expected him to say was, “What a great idea!” Happily we were able to purchase tickets to see Alice in WonderSLand at 2:00 PM SLT (PT) Sunday.
This video produced in 2006 and published on YouTube has had over 1.3 views as of April 28, 2010. While the digital landscape inside SL is much more dynamic today, the “voice” in this video tells a story that rings true today.
Yesterday I was shopping on XstreetSL and noticed that Elorian Gardens was closing out all of its inventory. There were some incredible builds that would work well for machinima so I decided to pick several up to keep on hand for future projects. Here’s a list of the items I purchased:
